Pupils' Voice Questionnaire (PVQ)
Listening to children and young people to understand their experiences and support their well-being
Now available for KS1, KS2, Transition, KS3, KS4, and KS5
Pupils' Voice is a comprehensive suite of online surveys designed to give children and young people a safe, structured, and age-appropriate way to express how they feel about life in school. From early primary to the end of post-16 education, Pupils’ Voice helps schools listen, learn, and act—enhancing support and creating a more positive school environment for all.
The surveys explore key areas of school life and emotional well-being, offering detailed insight to support pastoral care, inclusion, and academic progress. All responses are anonymous, and reports are automatically generated at pupil group, year, and whole-school levels.

Key Stage Variants
KS1 (Years 1 and 2)
Designed for early readers, the KS1 version uses spoken questions and visually engaging answer options. It offers young children a gentle introduction to sharing how they feel at school, covering areas like safety, relationships, happiness, and enjoyment in learning.
KS2 (Years 3 to 6)
Encourages older primary pupils to reflect on their friendships, feelings, learning, and well-being. Simple language and animated visuals make it accessible and engaging.
KS3 (Years 7 to 9)
Provides deeper insight into students’ experience of secondary school, with the option to include a dedicated Transition Module for Year 7 pupils moving up from primary. Addresses the full structure of themes and sub-themes.
KS4 (Years 10 and 11)
Captures the voice of students preparing for GCSEs and post-16 pathways. Helps schools understand the pressures pupils face and what support they need to succeed and feel well.
KS5 (Years 12 and 13 / Sixth Form and College)
Supports post-16 learners through one of the most challenging and important phases of education. Explores study pressure, future planning, mental health, and inclusion, giving staff valuable feedback to guide support and guidance services.
